In terms of operational principle, the process relies on the three physical states that thermoplastics exhibit at different temperatures. Under the mechanical thrust of the screw, the raw material transitions from a glassy state to a highly elastic condition, and finally to a viscous fluid state. This molten mass is then forced through the narrow gap of the die. Subsequent steps involve calendering, cooling and shaping, trimming of side edges, traction, and finally cutting into fixed lengths or winding into rolls.
The line is also suited for producing specialty profiles such as PC and PP hollow‑section panels, transparent PVC sheets (both flexible and rigid grades), PVC foamed boards, PMMA/ABS co‑extruded bath panels, inner liners for refrigerator compartments, as well as various multi‑layer composite co‑extruded sheets. The achievable product dimensions range from 300 mm to 700 mm in width, with thicknesses spanning 0.2 mm to 45 mm. Throughput rates vary between 80 and 1,800 kg per hour, depending on material and configuration.
